It is offered in a variety of trims; the Sport and Touring are available with manual or automatic transmissions, the Grand Touring only with an automatic, and a Signature trim will be released later this year.
The exterior features offered as standard in the Sport include halogen headlights and daytime running lights, LED taillights, power side mirrors with integrated turn signals, dual exhausts with chrome tips, and 17-inch wheels. Available features for the higher trims include rain sensing wipers, 19-inch wheels, auto on/off headlights, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, adaptive front lighting, high beam control, LED fog lights, power moonroof, LED grille accent lighting, and heated outside mirrors with driver's side auto dimming feature.

The 2018 Mazda6 is powered by a SKYACTIV®-G GASOLINE 2.5 liter dual overhead cam 4-cylinder engine developing 184 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque using regular unleaded gasoline. Power is delivered to the front wheels through a 6-speed automatic transmission with manual shift and Sport modes. As noted above, a 6-speed manual transmission is available for the Sport or Touring model trims.
