2019 Mazda CX-5

There are five trim levels on the 2019 Mazda CX-5. Each upgrade of trim level includes slight-to-moderate exterior changes to add value or visual flair. The base trim for this year's model release is the Sport. It includes body-colored front and rear bumpers to give it a cohesive look. A black grille with chrome accents and a chrome-tipped exhaust add a nice visual touch. Turn signal indicators in the side view mirrors are standard. The Touring trim includes the same visual appearances as the Sport. The Sport and Touring trims include 17-inch wheels. The Grand Touring and Grand Touring Reserve trims are the first to add heated side-view mirrors, which makes winter driving more convenient. The Grand Touring and the Grand Touring Reserve have larger, 19-inch wheels. The Grand Touring Reserve and Signature trims include LED headlamps.

There are two engine configurations on the 2019 CX-5. Both options consist of four cylinders. The Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring trim level include a 2.5-liter engine which produces 187 horsepower. The Grand Touring Reserve and Signature trims have a more powerful 2.5-liter engine which has an output of 227 horsepower.

Outside of the impressive engine specifications on the 2019 Mazda CX-5, the rest of the drivetrain and engineering provide an excellent backdrop as far as performance goes. All trims are equipped with a six-speed, automatic transmission that has a manual mode for drivers who like to choose their own gear shifts. The 2019 Mazda CX-5 gives you the option to choose between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, however, the Grand Touring Reserve and Signature trims are only available with all-wheel drive. Speed-sensitive power steering automatically adjusts its responsiveness based on your speed.

The interior of the 2019 CX-5 carries over the same refined style from the exterior. Lower trim levels include comfortable, soft cloth upholstery. Higher trim levels include Napa leather seating. There's seating for five with plenty of cargo room to go around as well. If you need more cargo space, you can take advantage of the 40-20-40 seating to add more storage without sacrificing as much seating capacity. In addition to the roomy and comfortable seating, the 2019 Mazda CX-5 is loaded with tons of excellent entertainment features. Internet access is available through Mazda's MAZDA CONNECT system. Smart device integration, AM/FM/Satellite radio, and voice-activated radio are standard. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are available at higher trim levels.

The CX-5 includes several collision and driver assistance safety features that make it an appealing choice. Mazda's suite of driver assistance features include collision detection and braking assistance. Ventilated disc brakes help them cool faster and improve their efficiency. Side curtain air bags are equipped on both rows of seating.
