Since its introduction at the Chicago Auto Show on February 10, 1989, the Mazda MX-5 Miata has become a beloved iconic roadster with over one million units sold. The 2017 MX-5 Miata is the fifth generation of this line. It is offered in Sport, Club, and Grand Touring trims, as well as a choice of automatic or manual transmissions. Inside the Miata, standard features include cloth-trimmed seats with recline and forward/back adjustment; leather-trimmed steering wheel, shift knob, and parking brake handle; power windows; power door locks with speed sensor; remote keyless entry (advanced keyless entry on automatic transmission models); push-button ignition; AM/FM/CD system with six speakers including driver’s headrest; Bluetooth®; automatic volume control; and steering wheel-mounted controls for audio, phone, and cruise control. Available features include a remote trunk release, red stitching on the Sport seats and black or sport tan leather seating on the Grand Touring trim, BOSE® 9-speaker audio, Mazda CONNECT™ infotainment system, satellite radio, automatic climate control, auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink®, navigation, and heated seats.
Safety and security features vary with trim levels but include tire pressure monitoring, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, engine immobilizer, adaptive front lighting system, lane departure warning, high beam control, and an anti-theft alarm.
